reaction:
On one hand I think it is good that the teachers are going to strike to protect their pensions, because everyone has the right to protest against changes of the government and this is a good way to make the government consider those changes again. On the other hand, it will cost a whole day of school which has some consequences. Children won't get the education they need and some parents will have to take a day off from work to take care of them. However, it is only one day and both the students and their parent are aware of it and have the time to prepare for it. When I am a teacher and my pension is being threatened by the government, I would go and strike as well!
Dear Liselotte!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI agree with you on this subject, I would also strike if my pension was being threatened. I think it will not have a lot of impact on the pupils, I think they would be happy about it because they get to have the day off. I do think some parents will complain about this.
Good Summary and clear reaction
Hi Liselotte! Wow, a lot of percentages in the summary. At first, I had difficulties understanding it but when I read your own reaction to it, it became clear. I agree with your last sentence. I would go strike as well! Let those students take a day off watching movies and relax so they have enough energy to catch up on the missed lessons the next day!;)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHi Liselotte,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI agree with your opinion, I would also strike as a teacher when my pension is being threatened. Regrettably the pupils have to 'suffer' with a day of and they won't get their education of that day. On the other hand I think the pupils will jump in the air of happiness when they hear they get a day off. So let them relax and there is probably a day when they can catch up that missed lesson, and if not: it is not the end of the world.
